No, with some caveats. Only under exceptional circumstances are benzodiazepines (alprazolam, lorazepam, clonazepam, temazepam, triazolam) prescribed at PscyhNS for psychiatric conditions. However, tapering prescriptions maybe considered as a treatment option for newly establishing patients who are already taking this class of medication for psychiatric indications.
