Addiction Medicine

Co-Occurring Disorders

Some patients may have co-occurring conditions like depression, anxiety, bipolar, etc. PsychNS will strive to develop an individualized treatment plan that addresses these conditions, too.

Conditions Treated

Numerous substance use disorders are treated at PsychNS. The following list is not complete, but a reference to the more common conditions. It should be understood that some of these conditions may not initially be managed in the office setting, and will require referral to inpatient ‘detox’ for medically managed withdrawal. Some conditions may be of a severity where completing a higher level of care like residential treatment, partial hospitalization program, or an intensive outpatient program is paramount.

  • Alcohol Use Disorder
  • Opioid Use Disorder
  • Stimulant Use Disorder
  • Sedative, Hypnotic, or Anxiolytic Use Disorder
  • Cannabis Use Disorder
  • Tobacco Use Disorder
